My father started an add-a-pearl necklace for me when I was born, and so began my appreciation for pearls. Again it was my father who gave me a pearl ring for my 16th birthday, and later I inherited my grandmother's and mother's pearl necklace. I started college majoring in fashion design, but my father encouraged me to pursue a more practical major, and I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Social Work. I continued to enjoy the creative process, and have worked in many mediums. However, when I started designing czech glass pearl necklaces, I knew I had found my art, as this fits like the treasured pearl necklace I inherited not so long ago.
